This is the Genesis blog; you are at the very start of this initiative we’re building. In this article, we will cover what Web3MTL is, what you can expect from us, and what are the resources at your disposal to make your mark in this exciting industry.
What is Web3MTL?
Born from web3 lunches started by a tweet made by Bo Lau, Web3MTL was started by Jean-Luc, Lucas, Steven, Bilal, Nic and Alice. This non-profit organization is meant to be a one-stop shop for the web 3.0 community in the city. Web3Montréal (aka Web3MTL or W3M) is led by 8 volunteers who either work in web3 or are enthusiasts looking to serve the community.
W3M has already hosted 3 successful events for sponsors like Chainlink and Axelar, developing a community of more than 400 members!
What can you expect from us?
From networking events, web3 content to educational workshops, you will find everything you need to thrive in web3 through W3M. If you’re passionate about NFTs, the metaverse, DeFi, GameFi or even just blockchain in general, you’re at the right place!
We’re committed to providing high-quality experiences for our community and from this point on, we will be aiming to post weekly content for our Blog, with web3-related news affecting Montreal, Quebec and Canada.
We will have interviews with Montreal entrepreneurs in the space, workshops with Montreal-based companies as well as fun networking events to get to know like-minded individuals.
